After a drive that takes you off the beaten path, Nkasiri Adventure Park offers a welcoming sight. For me, it was their Masala Tea that truly stole the show for me. Here’s a review of my experience!
A few days ago, my family and I were looking for a perfect way to kick-off the new year. While searching online for adventure spots in Kajiado County, we came across Nkasiri Adventure Park. According to their website, Nkasiri Adventure Park is Kenya’s premier camping, sports and recreation center for Kenya’s best outdoor activities facilities. After a brief conversation about the best route to take, we settled on Ngong Town through Kiserian and Isinya, a total of 85 km.
The Journey and the Atmosphere
Before the trip, we decided to add the Maasai Ostrich Farm to our adventure list. The road leading to Ngong Town itself had an unusual traffic for Saturday afternoon. After leaving Ngong Town, the descent towards Kiserian began. Then the ascends and descends towards Isinya. Once we arrived at Isinya we took the left turn towards Kitengela Town. After arriving at Ola Petrol Station where Google Maps indicated we take the Acacia Feeder Road, the dusty and bumpy ride to the ostrich farm began until we reached a dead end and had to reverse and abandon our quest to see the ostrichs.
While the journey to Nkasiri Adventure Park from the main tamarc road requires a little effort, the park itself is a delightful reward. As you arrive at the main gate, you are greeted with the cheerful chirping of weaver birds busy with their nest-building and house keeping duties. It is a perfect soundtrack that signals it is time for unwinding. (And a quick pro-tip for future visitors driving in: make sure you get your parking slip stamped at the reception before leaving!)
The overall atmosphere at Nkasiri is tranquil and refreshing. The well-manicured natural grass and lush trees provide a beautiful, natural ambience, making it an ideal spot for a romantic date, a family outing, or even a casual business meeting that requires an overnight sleepover.
🌶️ The Masala Tea Experience
While waiting for wet fry pork, vegetables and ugali, which was our main lunch order—I opted for a simple pot of Masala Tea—and I’m so glad I did. As promised by Sandra, our waiteress, my order arrived in 10 minutes, sizzling hot, which is exacly how a great cup of Masala Tea should be served.
I rolled my head back in satisfaction when I took the first sip. The tea was an absolute sweet delight. The tea was perfectly brewed, with the robust masala spices and the smooth milk tea distinctly standing out yet beautifully dancing in harmony. The balance between the milk and the aromatic masala spices was nothing short of excellent, leaving a refreshing and aromatic aftertaste that lingers just right.
For a tea lover, Nkasiri Adventure Park’s Masala Tea is a must-try. It’s the perfect brew to sip while soaking in the peaceful park ambience and setting. Apart from fine dining, Nkasiri Adventure Park is an ideal spot for:-

💰 Pro-Tip: Incredible Value
One of the things that I would like to point out is that one pot generously serves about 3 small cups. This makes the Masala Tea an incredible value for money, allowing you to extend your moment of relaxation as you wait for lunch to be served.
Highly recommended! Even if you’re not planning on doing any of the park’s adventure activities, the peaceful ambience and, most importantly, this perfectly spiced Masala Tea, makes Nkasiri Adventure Park absolutely worth the drive. The park is a perefet spot to hold your company’s next team building, throwing a birthday party or a romantic getaway.
