I did not have dreams of a better life when I arrived at Lifesong Kenya. At first, I doubted James and thought he wasn’t going to be of any help to me. But, James didn’t give up on me or the other boys.

He kept asking questions that made me think of a better life and future for myself. For the first time in my life, I started desiring good things for myself. I started dreaming and looking forward to seeing a new day.

By allowing us to meet ubiversity students, a new desire was birthed in me. I started dreaming of one day going to Strathmore University, traveling and being able to help my mom and little brother.

Even while on the football field, James constantly reminds us to keep dreaming about a better life for ourselves. And that, helps our football team to set goals together.
