After years of running a nonprofit organization, it is now time for me to transition into amplifying my impact through Born for Greatness. It is not something that I got into overnight. It took me years of toil, trial and error. And after earning my Co-Active coaching certificate a few years ago, I needed somethign more. that something came in the form of going through the Co-Active Leadership Program, which equipped me with the leadership skills that I needed to transition into running a business.

For over 13 years, my life purpose and work has been deeply intertwined with Lifesong Kenya. I am It is a nonprofit organization that will continue its incredible work of empowering young people in Kenya. Those years have etched incredible and invaluable lessons on my heart. Additionally, this has fueled an even stronger desire to empower and equip more children and young people through Born for Greatness.
Transitioning from charity to Born for Greatness
Now, I’m embarking on a new chapter with the launch of Born for Greatness. This is a business that will operate alongside the ongoing mission of Lifesong Kenya. This isn’t a farewell to the spirit of the nonprofit and the work I have been doing. Rather, it is an evolution of my commitment to empowering young people.
The lives touched through Lifesong Kenya have directly inspired the mission of Born for Greatness, which will operate alongside the ongoing work of the nonprofit. It is about taking that same passion for unlocking potential and offering more focused, individualized support through a business model.
My certifications from Co-Active Training Institute as a Co-Active Leader and Coach and the International Coaching Federation, alongside my years of working directly with young people, have uniquely positioned me to guide teenagers and young adults towards clarity, conviction, and the ‘roaring courage’ needed to live fulfilling lives through Born for Greatness.
Born for Greatness is the culmination of this journey – a space where young people can discover their inherent ‘treasure,’ build unwavering confidence, and develop the awareness to navigate their lives with purpose, operating as a separate business entity. My deep support and connection to the ongoing work of Lifesong Kenya remains strong.

“In a growth mindset, challenges are exciting rather than threatening. So rather than thinking, “Oh, I’m going to reveal my weaknesses,” you say, “Wow, here’s a chance to grow.”

Final Thoughts
Earlier in the post, I mentioned how instrumental the Co-Active Institute has been in my transition from charity to Born for Greatness. What I like about the Co-Active model is the emphasis mastery and skill. When you are ready to act and create solutions instead of getting bogged down by wondering ‘how’ you are able to find the answer you are looking for.
The moment I realized I had valuable lessons from my lived-experience, I was able to see myself as being creatively resourceful. By mastering the skills I have gained from working with young people in juvenile prison, I am able to respond with a resounding “yes” to what is possible.
I highly recommend that you check out what Co-Active Training Institute has to offer and test drive it. I believe you will get value out your investment, both in terms of money and time.
